Maija began her career at an early-stage, plant-based food brand and ascended to 301 INC, the venture capital unit within General Mills, where she led marketing and brand strategy support for a portfolio of fast-growing, mission-driven, emerging food companies. One of those innovative brands was Purely Elizabeth granola, where Maija went on to serve as Head of Marketing and helped the company continue its 55% CAGR growth.
In between, Maija cultivated her classic training in marketing fundamentals at major brands in the US like Cheerios and Nature Valley and gained international CPG experience servicing the Southeast Asia market for General Mills.
Maija earned her BS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA with honors from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, staying healthy and centered through hiking, skiing, running, yoga and meditation, and connected with food through gardening and baking.
